I'm baaack with some new stuff to tell you about
I've *finally* gotten my butt onto facebook. You can see the "like" thing on the side of the page. I've been resisting really because well, I don't feel like having my personal life really interfere with my blogging life. Also it's like one step away from twitter and I think that twitter is just weird. I'm not into it at all. Please please please do me a favor and if you like this blog, like me on facebook!
Finally, my layout has changed a bit. If you had a button on my blog, I just popped it in the "button for blogs" page. My main page was getting a bit crowded.
See you tomorrow

Taking a weeklong or so blogger break
So I totally sound like a pathetic loser (LOL). I mean it's like one of those teen dramas. EMGGG MY BOYFRIEND IS LEAVING FOR THE WEEKENDDDD. I make FUN Of those things lol and now I've become one! I didn't think I'd be so sad. I cried a little yesterday night because while I was skyping with him, he was packing up. That was when it really hit me: The BF is leaving. I won't be able to see him until December (for winter break).
So yeah. I currently have zero inspiration to blog. Sigh. Ill be back soon

A very much needed update
Pros of the trip: None
Cons: Stayed at a hotel where a person thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm multiple times. Or the fire alarm went off b/c someone decided to smoke in a non-smoking room. It also went off like at 3 and again at 4 in the morning.
Nice.

Cooking+ *mini* rant: Cheesefake Lemon/chocolate tarts
But, I'd rather call it a cheesefake because it's actually made of yogurt, instead of cream cheese. It's actually really low fat and low in sugar! <3 YAY. I modified it a little, but visit the site (click on the marg cheesecake) and show some love! I kinda have a rant.. but I left it for the end. The top in the picture is chocolate
Makes 5 tarts.
Ingredients for the filling:
- Plain, vanilla yogurt: 16 oz or two cups.
- half a lemon
- like a spoonful of zest
- half a lime
- half an orange
- coffee filters (8)
- wire mesh strainer and large bowl for draining.
- half cup of sugar
You have to pour off the liquid that collects in the bowl every hour for 3 hours. Then you check after 2 hours, then after a couple. Then, at the 12 hour mark, scoop out all the stuff in the filters into a new set of filters. TRUST ME! It's important to drain out as much liquid as possible. It make it more "cheesecake-like". After 12 hours, it'll be done. One way to know that it's done is that you'll be able to peel the coffee filters away from the yogurt when you put the yogurt in a bowl.
Set aside and make your tarts
Ingredients for tarts:
- 1.5 cups of graham cracker crumbs. (about 6-8 crackers put in the blender)
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted<-- GOTTA USE THE BUTTAA
- muffin or tart pans (dollar store tins that bend are better)
- a bar of chocolate
Note, please use butter. I tried it with olive oil and it just crumbled. I don't think it has the fat that butter has... so the crumbs might not stick together as well. Once it's cool, spread some melted chocolate in the tart. Cool in the fridge until the chocolate is hard. Then pop them out of the tins and spoon yogurt inside.
You can do this with different kinds of fruits! I made mine with an entire lemon but it was too sour >< So remember kiddies (and others), only half a lemon.
RANT TIME. I changed the color to blue so people don't get confused. Today, I gave my BF a tart to try, and he was like "oh okay i like it". Then later, I find out that he wasn't *that* crazy about it..
Well.. why don't you tell me beforehand? I *HATE* it when people don't tell me the truth when I ask. As long as you aren't an asshole about it, I appreciate your comments. Seriously. How else do I improve my cooking? Just say "there is too much lemon". Granted, men aren't that picky. Most of them will shove anything down their throats, provided that it's food and they're hungry. Still, when I ask for your opinion, give me your friggin' opinion. I rather have you "hurt" my feelings than be like "EVERYONE TRY THIS YUMMY THING" when it's not optimally yummy at all. Seriously.
Like for example: I gave my bf some tarts to take home because I thought he liked them. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM THAT MUCH, DON'T TAKE IT HOME TO SHARE WITH THE FAMILY. DON'T FREAKING EMBARRASS ME LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF YOUR GODDAMN PARENTS.
Really homefry? Really bro? Are you going to do that to me? I'd rather eat it myself than his parents to think that I'm a complete fail. Mind you, they don't like me that much already. But that probably has more to do with my makeup and such.
Ugh.
Anyway, enjoy this recipe! See you next time.

RANT: I have no friends.
Actually that's just bull. I have friends, but not friends that I kinda want. Don't get me wrong. I love my friends. I have a lot of them. Their interests vary from walking outside, to rowing, to anime, to reading. However, they don't contain makeup, and clothes. I mean, I have a friend who doesn't care about her stuff. She's like "... clothes are clothes... I don't get it".
-___________________- What is there to get? Looking back now, I never really had friends who liked makeup or clothes. In high school, literally it was just me who wore makeup. My friends who did, well... barely cared beyond the minimum. They didn't stalk makeup blogs or attempt to make their own clothes. If you saw pictures, it would be like me with crazy eye makeup and them looking glowy in their fresh, natural faces.
And well, it's never bothered me until now. Today, actually, I was feeling really bored and restless and I lashed out at the bf. He asked me about some vest I dug out of my moms closet and I wanted to make shorter. I just... wanted to hit him. I knew that he only cared because I care. He couldn't care less about makeup or whatever. (Today, Masterchef was not on btw). I didn't want him to freaking ask because he wanted to flatter me or whatever. I wanted to talk to someone, anyone really, about my fucking vest. Like is it that wrong to want to have a friend to talk to when I want to talk about vests and skirts and making outfits and the latest makeup seen in Glamour magazine?
I wish I had a friend to talk to about makeup and fashion. I mean, after a while, just flipping through magazines and blogs get boring. No offense ladies. I need human interaction, period.
So yeah. I feel better now. I just need a friend and it makes me really moody. This isn't a call for people to start commenting more or like have meetups lol. It's just a general rant about it and well, I hope I find someone in my college who actually shares my interest.

Which should I choose?
Not going to lie, I'm pretty torn right now. I like the cream color, but its going to get dirty easily. But I feel like I would feel more secure in the shoe. I love the taupe color and I love the detailing of the other one. I feel like I could get more wear out of it simply because its a pump shape and so I can wear it with longer pants. What do you think?

Some randomness and any requests anyone?
Well, just a quick update on my very boring life: I have to prepare for 3 placement tests in Carnegie Mellon (Math, Chinese and Biology) which sucks becuase now I can't slack off! AHHH! LOL I feel like a Junior.
I've been making bits and pieces of jewelry and stuff, but not for me to wear. It's for something that I'm not going to reveal yet. I'll get around to revealing my pieces that i've made so far later.
I'm so bored that I'll take requests! Anything you want me to do? Tell me!

Tutorial: Flowerrific Necklace with hints of Paris
Today, we (or I) will be making this necklace as shown below. There are some closeups.
What you need:
- Sequins
- Eiffel Tower keychain. I got mine at Paris. Literally, 5 for a freaking euro. If you don't have this, just get some other pendant like thing or keychain you get from a touristy place.
- 2 pliers. It can be a combo, like plier and wrench. You just need 2 clampy things.
- Thread. I used black sewing thread
- Needle
- Necklace Chain
- Necklace clasp. I used a toggle kind. It's like a bar with a loop. Use whatever!
- Jumprings
Instructions
- First, take the keychain and split it apart. You see in my above picture with supplies that I broke it into the keychain thing, the pendant thing, and the middle "tag" that says paris/france on it. You'll need the pliers becuase this metal is very heavy and hard. If you have problems opening the loops, don't force it with your nails and one plier. Use 2. It gives you much more force.
- Now, take the pendant, and attach a jumpring. A jump ring is like a thin ring that's really easy to open and close. Attach this the jump ring to your pendant, then to the middle of the chain necklace. Make sure that this is a link chain necklace. It'll be easier to work with.
- You see the tag? Choose where you want to put it on the necklace. I chose the middle of a side. So assuming you want to put it there, just open a link on the chain, and attach the tag on. You might have to break some links off to make both sides of the necklace on.
- Attach the clasp. Are you still with me? Here is where we should be right now.
- Faaantastic. Assuming that you are at this point, congrats. You can leave right now and have a rockin' necklace. This is where it becomes a bit hairy and time consuming. I'm going to describe it in words. First, make a chain of sequins. You should have 3 sizes. Small, medium and large. Just find a bag of assorted sequins and separate them. You make a chain like so: First, take the needle and thread it. Don't tie a knot because it's not going to be useful. Put the sequin on the thread and leave a little tail. Now, put the needle through the sequin hole so that you have a loop. Don't tighten the loop! Now, pull the needle through the loop twice. Tighten and you have a knot.
- NOW, to make the chain of sequins. Thread another sequin on. Now push the needle through the "up" side of the previous sequin. Push the sequin up through the "under" side of the newly threaded sequin. Repeat. I usually like to do 10 in a chain
- Still with me? You are a brave lady you know. This part isn't really directable. I can give you a starting point, but it's mostly feel, go and improvisation. The sequin that you last sewed on is now "1". Everything else is 2, 3, etc in order. Take the needle and push it through the hole of sequin number 5. You should have a flower shape. If you are using faceted sequins, you should push the needle through the "bowl" side. This means that when you lay the sequin down, it looks like a bowl. Now, just curve all the sequins into a circle and sew it together.
- To make flowers, you can layer sequin circles of different sizes together to give different depths and such. Very cool. Now, just sew them on your chain however you like. I actually put two flowers back to back. Here's the picture of that. It's blurry, I know. If you need to, you can gorilla glue the flowers for added strength.
Yay! Do you guys like it? Now for my question. It's been a weird dream of mine (not like a DREAM dream, but more of a daydream) to actually open an Etsy store, just to see if I can get some more cash to pay for grossly expensive textbooks. Why are they 100 dollars each, I don't know. Yay for ebay and amazon! Anyway, back to the point. Do you guys think that I have enough talent to open one? How much would this kind of necklace be worth? To ladies who have etsy stores or ebay stores, how has it been running it? Any stories?
I'm not asking for flattery. I'm asking you ladies because we are essentially strangers. I like getting opinions from people I don't know becuase sometimes, I feel like its more honest you know? Since you don't know them, you usually don't feel obligated to say something not to hurt someone's feeling. I want constructive criticism!

College Notifications!
ANYWAY, I just wanted to share some supurbly great news! I have officially decided that I will be attending.....CARNEGIE MELLON!
How exciting is that? Well, it's not OFFICIAL OFFICIAL considering that my parents have to pay the deposit and we're waiting for financial aid/scholarships and we have to plan out some ortho stuff. I'm supposed to get braces becuase frankly, this overbite isn't going to cure itself and better now when I still look 14 without makeup than when I'm 40 and I won't pass for 21. Right? Right. Plus it's probably going to be only for 1.5 years so really, it's just 1.5 years now for like... forever with great teeth. I'm not sure how it's going to work. Maybe take a bus back home every like 2 months? Get a on campus job to pay for it? I don't know.
Let's do remember that this contest ends today, 12 midnight E.D.T. And how did you guys feel when you got into college? Share your experience!
And I won't be posting for a week becuase I'll be in the Netherlands to visit some family there! I'll be back with pictures and such

EOTD: 1,2,3 Dance with me
Enough with the creeper stuff, I swear, I didn't mean for ANY of that to come out funny. If it did (talking to you Blix), sorry!
Today, I woke up and made this eye look:
Products Used:
- UDPP sample
- Kitchmas pigment (MAC)
- Gold Shimmer (Mineral Basics)
- Unknown pigment (Given to me by Lizzard. If you are reading this Liz, and you know what pigment it is, tell me the name!)- It's like a dupe of Milani's Golden Bronze (you can still purchase it on their website) or a lighter version of Smog by UD. It's weird becuase it looks like this purple brown color but on my eyelids, it's just a neutral bronze)
- Grape (Mineral Basics)
- Almay mascara (Light interplay) 2 coats
- L'Oreal HIP cream liner in black
- True Black to set the eyeliner and fill the brows a tad bit (B2TE)
Have a nice day ladies and don't forget to enter my contest! Toodles!

Friday Updates with Miss Mika
Miss Mika looking very lovely.
The one on the left is Mika's and the one on the right is mine. Then there's also a closeup. Obviously I decided to omit how dirty everything became because well, I didn't want to dirty up my already old and dying camera! But you know, pressing pigments are always a horrid hassle! If you don't put the coin DIRECTLy in the middle, the stuff just comes flying out! Also, please make sure to seal up the eyeshadows with some Visine or something. Because minerals don't have binders of thier own.
Well, tell me, how do you spend your Fridays? Going out to the movies? Staying at home? I would love to know!
Toodles and does anyone know why i can't make the heart sign anymore?
