Review + Giveaway: UTATZ Airbrush Tattoos

I recently got a sample pack of this airbrush tattoo by UTATZ. Normally, I don't spring for airbrush tattoos because.. I'm not a tattoo kinda person. However, I like reviewing stuff for companies and hosting giveaways, so I decided to give this a shot.

This is actually pretty great. The instructions are simple: wipe area clean with rubbing alcohol, paste on the stencil, spray and then remove the stencil. I got a really rich, black, non drippy tattoo that I would have taken pictures of, if I didn't put it on my thigh. It's kinda hard to tattoo yourself you know.

The spray feels cold, but dries really quickly. The stencil sticks to your skin, but doesn't rip any hair out. Honestly, if you're going to tattoo yourself, just give the area a quick shave. It's not going to look nice on a hairy arm or leg.  I think it's like some powder because it "cracks" a bit when you move. It doesn't come off too easily in the shower (provided that you don't incessantly rub it), stays on for 3+ days. Anyway, I used this one:

Each individual stencil is around 2 dollars and the spray itself is 15 dollars. Currently, there's only black but I was told that in the next couple months, they will be releasing new colors (gold, glitter, silver, white, pink, brown etc). That sounds exciting! I would actually like a gold one, but that's because I'm obsessed with gold.

Recommended: Yes. Pick one up for that person in your life who loves tattoos, someone who is scared, but wants to try it out and that special child in your life who just.. like tattoos. What kid doesn't like tattoo? Hell, I used to draw on myself with marker.

ANYWAY, I will be giving one lucky reader a chance to try out a value pack! This is a special blogger pack and it is valued at 20 dollars. Just enter in below! This ends on 7/21/2012.

And POOP I didn't realize that the stencils were multiuse. I threw mine out after 1 use. Just replace the backing and go again.

The Style and Go by Marcy Mckenna

Hey my lovely ladies! I know that this is a departure from my regular posts, but I promise that I'll get to the DIY soon. I'm expecting some zippers to fly in tomorrow and I'll be posting a bunch of designer inspired DIYs over the week.

First, I want to tell you about this new product I wish I had. It's called the The Style and Go by Marcy Mckenna. It's like this cabinet and it's a really great way to store your hair appliances. At school, all my shit is just crammed under my bed and it's kinda gross there lol.

How cool is this shit? It has a little mirror, a place to pop in an extension bar, some space for your hair products, and most of all, space to hold your hair drying, iron, curler. I wish I had one but they don't start selling at HSN until 7/25! Until then, you can head over to her website here!

My new favorite supplier of zippers!

I'm possibly always on the hunt for zippers. They're friggin expensive in stores such as Joanns or AC Moore! I normally don't shop on Etsy due to all the resellers, but I love shopping there for supplies. It's a REALLY great way to get sewing supplies on the cheap: aka wholesale prices without having to buy like 100 zippers in bulk. I mean, who the hell uses that many zippers in a day?

Zippers - Wholesale Brass zippers - 10 bright pink 9 inch brass zippers
My favorite!! I love pink!

My new favorite person is : Irina from KandCSuppliers! She takes custom orders which is really great for people like me who are on a really tight budget. The shipping is also quite reasonable. She has a huge selection of zippers, from separating to brass, to nylon and they come in all sizes. She even sells handbag zippers which is really great!

Visit her blog here!

*I was not paid for this at all. I just wanted to share a new find on etsy*
New DIY's coming up soon loves

Brand Introductions: Mineral Mate and Yu-Be

Hey everyone! I finally came home from college. I actually have 2 companies to introduce so let's get started.

1. Mineral Mate

First off, I have a code for ALL my readers! This is until 5/30/12. Then for the month of June, I have a different code for everyone! This is for 25% off.

So, Mineral Mate is a new mineral makeup *storage* company. They sell a bunch of palettes to mix mineral makeup in and also some 30 gram containers to hold powder and other misc. makeup items. I received two of them. One in black (Double Platinum) and one in red (Red at Play). Here are some pics:

They're lightweight and they cost 20 dollars each. If you're a HUGE mineral makeup fan, then you'll love this! Since I got a bunch, I will be giving away two of them tomorrow! Stay tuned for the official giveaway post.

2. Yu-Be

I recently got a bunch of stuff from Yu-Be to try out. It's a Japanese skin care company. The first product I got was the moisturizing Skin Cream. It costs 16.00$ for 1.25 oz. The cream itself is yellow, but it's because of the vitamin B or something. It smells kinda minty and camphor-ey. Personally, I like it because it's good for the bottom of my feet. They aren't so gross anymore!

I also got the Yu-Be lip therapy. It retails for 5.00$ for a chapstick sized tube. Again, it's yellowish and smells like herbs. I don't like this as much. This is a little over-priced for a chapstick and it's not like it works any better.

I got a ton of samples to give away and this will be included in my give away tomorrow. Again, stay tuned for the give away!
