Review: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Gel CreamLiner and a quick EOTD
Unique gel cream formula glides-on effortlessly and smoothly while providing the definition of a liquid eyeliner.
Long-wearing, water-resistant and smudge-resistant formula provides 24-Hour definition.
Includes Pro-Eyeliner Brush for effortless and precise application.
Stackable eyeliner pots can be pulled apart for individual use on-the-go.
- Waterline- Bascially none. I don't recommend this for the waterline becuase it doesn't go on pigmentedly at all, and the staying power is bascially none.
- Upper Lash Line- Really great especially for monolids. It resists water and oil pretty well so it doesn't transfer all over the place. It's actually even better than the L'Oreal HIP cream liner for the upper lash line. It really locks itself in place. Usually when I do black liner on the top lid to wing it, it kind of transfers and "dirties" up the eyeshadow resulting in a half muddy, half not (when I close my eye).
- Lower Lash Line with UDPP- Fantastico. It does fade a bit, especially if you have teary eyes and in the out corners, but it's nothing I can't handle. At least when it does fade, it fades evenly and not like racoon eye-like
- Lower Lash Line w/o UDPP- Not recommended. For me, I tear a lot and sweat a lot, so the eyeliner faded a lot faster. Maybe...6 hours?
Pigmentation is okay. Nothing to rave about really. The black is pigmented, so are the other colors. I would have liked to see something bolder, but it's alright really. The color selection, however, is great. Although it seems like PF is recycling colors, if you look at swatches in other sites, you can see that actually the colors are all pretty different. The only color that's not different enough for me is the blacks. They're actually blacks with micro shimmer in green, blue, etc. However, the microshimmer isn't really that visible and maybe I can see them if I shove the product 2 millimeters from my eyeball. I'll keep it just if I want to do a black liner on my upper lid, but besides that, at least you can swap it away right? Or "backup" (to your other 10000 black eyeliners. I know you chicks do that too!)
Size of the product is disgustingly small. It's actually smaller than a quarter. Even the Maybelline Studio Gel eyeliner is actually larger than this. However, you do get 3 gels for a price only slightly higher than one Maybelline gel liner and this liner kicks that liners ass.
The feel of this product is more gelly than butter. It's like the L'Oreal HIP cream liner. If you don't have that, then it's like sticking a knife in a cake. It's soft, but not too soft. The applicator is a keeper. It makes good, thin lines and it's cute and actually a good length to use.
Do I recommend this product? Yes, I do! I like it, even though the price is high for a drugstore item. It sells for 10.95 at Physiciansformula.com, CVS, Ulta, etc. Sometimes though, you can get it for 40% off at CVS (that's where I got mine), for BOGOF, BOGO half, etcetcetc. Look out for sales!

Review: Maybelline Studio Drama Gel Liner
Anyways, the swatch for this nifty little product is two posts ago. This is Maybelline's Gel Liner in Brown. I got this via swapping on makeupalley.
According to Maybelline: Only our oil-free formula can hold highly concentrated pigments in a clear gel base.
So color is more intense and lines resist wear for 24 hours.
Smudge-proof and Water-proof.
The most intense line for lasting drama.
According to me:
Consistency: It's like stick butter, or spreadable butter. Go on, step away from the screen, take a knife, and stick it into butter. That's what it feels like. It is decadently smooth and creamy and I like how you just take the applicator, and stab it into the product once. That sounded weird, but it's true.
Color Pigmentation: It's alright. I don't think that it's INTENSE, unless you layer it. But since it's so creamy, you can't really layer it becuase then the product you just put on your eyeball will come off. It's decent.
Applicator: Some companies like to include useless dinky "applicators" so young girls who don't know what brushes are or who are just starting out in makeup can use them. Honestly, there are so many cheap brushes out there now, that companies should ditch the applicators and give more product. (I'm looking at you L'Oreal with the useless "brush" that came with the Cream Liner) With that being said, I expected this to be some useless gizmo to jack up the price. No way! It looks like a mini brush that you would get from a holiday set from MAC or something. Personally, I think that it's great becuase it's ultra small for thin lines, but you can also make thick lines as well. This time, the applicator is something you should keep, just in case.
Wear Powa'- I used this over a few days with a few different methods becuase I know that you ladies have different methods of eyeliner use
- Waterline- It's useless on the waterline. The staypower here is barely 2-3 hours and it doesn't look pigmented at all on the waterline
- Lower lash with UDPP- It's alright really. I see some fading, but not too much. This was the best in terms of wear. I don't see a 24 hr thing going here. Maybe 8-10 hours before it's gone
- Lower lash w/o UDPP- Not too great. I find that usually when I use stuff like L'Oreal HIP cream liner, Annabelle smudgeliner, Sephora Brand flashy waterproof, and Smashbox gel liner, it does kinda smudge, but not too much. It's bearable smudging. Don't use this w/o a base if you have acid tears like me.
- Upper lash liner- It's pretty good for monolids, with primer
Smudgability- Horrid. Really. I put some on, and right away my sleeve smudges it. It takes maybe a minute to dry and "set", but even then, it's easy to smudge. It is pretty water resistant though!
Do I reccomend this? Meh, not really. I'd actually advise you to go to a different brand. I guess it's good if you have not so watery, teary eyes or if you just want something on the cheap (actually ELF is cheaper). Price ranges from 8.49 on Amazon to 10 dollars on Ulta

Review: Revlon Colorstay Soft & Smooth Lipcolor
My chosen color: Natural Cashmere- a corally peach color. On drugstore.com, it looks as if it is a nude pink, but on me, it looks corally peach.
Claims: Lipstick so soft and smooth you won't believe it's long-lasting. Hours and hours of luscious, feel good color in one smooth step. Available in a wide range of beautiful shades
What I say:
First off, let's start with the pros. This stuff feels like cupcake frosting or spreadable butter on your lips. It smells kind of like frosting actually, but I don't notice the smell, and to smell something, I have to practically shove the tube up my nostril. Seriously though, I expected something more hard or unspreadable because it is "colorstay".
The lipstick goes on opaque (at least this color does) which is good for ultra pigmented lip girls (like me!). The finish of this lipstick is like a satin. It does look a bit matte, but there are ULTRA FINE sparkles in it which make it not a matte. If you like a shiny finish, you better get a gloss on there.
Feel-wise, it doesn't feel drying at all! It feels like nothing is on your lips because after one minute or so, it "sets". This means that it kind of dries on your lips so that when you brush your fiinger against your lips, you don't get transfer. Meaning, no lip rings on cups! yay!
For the cons, although it doesn't feel drying, it looks drying because it has this matte-like finish. Also, it really clings. I mean, it's a real pain to get off. I was in the shower, washing my face and I used the St.Ives apricot scrub to scrub my lips (to exfoliate). I get out of the shower, and the lipstick was still there! True story!
Do I recommend this? As a color, yes and as a product, yes. It retails at prices ranging from 4.35 at Amazon.com to around 10 dollars at CVS.

College Notifications!
ANYWAY, I just wanted to share some supurbly great news! I have officially decided that I will be attending.....CARNEGIE MELLON!
How exciting is that? Well, it's not OFFICIAL OFFICIAL considering that my parents have to pay the deposit and we're waiting for financial aid/scholarships and we have to plan out some ortho stuff. I'm supposed to get braces becuase frankly, this overbite isn't going to cure itself and better now when I still look 14 without makeup than when I'm 40 and I won't pass for 21. Right? Right. Plus it's probably going to be only for 1.5 years so really, it's just 1.5 years now for like... forever with great teeth. I'm not sure how it's going to work. Maybe take a bus back home every like 2 months? Get a on campus job to pay for it? I don't know.
Let's do remember that this contest ends today, 12 midnight E.D.T. And how did you guys feel when you got into college? Share your experience!
And I won't be posting for a week becuase I'll be in the Netherlands to visit some family there! I'll be back with pictures and such
