Quick Sewing Update and Cecilia Cassini??

So for the past few days, I have been in a hermitage (which you can build in CIV IV for culture points and it is a national wonder. Okay I is a nerd. LOLcopter) knitting and sewing. Mainly for my sister and misc. presents for my friends. I'm just going to put up a quick picture of a "jacket" thing that my sister wanted. It used to be a dress from the 80s that my mom used to wear. Sorry, but I don't have any personal projects. I don't want to post up the pictures of the stuff I knitted because, well, its for my friends and not for me! And I have nothing else to post really... but I want to! Okay okay.

My sister is into the "military" style. I just had to make the arm hole smaller, make the waist a little thinner and add things to close the "jacket".

On a side note, has anyone heard of Cecilia Cassini? I just read about her on Regretsy.com. I'll link you here. I'm not going to lie. I usually don't like to read about kid bashing. I was kind of like her when I was younger (the liking sewing clothes and making stuff, not the annoying voice, flamboyant behaviour, and strange tastes for triangle dresses and tube tops). Usually I like to support kid's interests, like my sister. When she went through the drawing phase, sewing phase, wanting to make her own dictionary phase, and now her knitting phase, I always supported and helped her. Why? Because it's good to nurture a kid's dreams to find new talent. But this is ridiculous. After I read it on regretsy, I was basically like "wtf... uhm... this is really weird...". I'm not really a fan mostly because I hate her attitude. It's okay to showcase your stuff, but it's not okay to act like you are the very best by saying that your sewing teacher sucks or something. Everyone has a lot to learn, especially her since she is only 10 or 11. But I digress. What do you guys think?

I have to finish some other projects. Hohoho, no school work!

Urban Decay Show Pony Palette Swatches!

So I just wanted to share this small gift that my mom gave me with you guys! It's the Urban Decay Show Pony Palette. It's pretty cool. I didn't swatch the UD primer potion nor the eyeliner in Zero.

Review: Sanrio Hello Kitty Curling Iron

*Note* Sparklebee.net sent me this item for free to review *end note*

Hey ladiess! My finals are FINALLY OVER UGH. It has truly been a grueling semester, but it's now time to relax. As for my plans, I'll be hanging out with my bestie and a whole TON of people that I met during Taiwan Camp <3 Lets review!
So I recently got the Sanrio Hello Kitty Ceramic Curling Iron to review. Let's put down some details from their website:

Amazingly gorgeous hair is yours with this smart Hello Kitty ceramic curling iron. Your hair goes glam with sleek and smooth curls as the iron adds body and bounce to any hair style. You'll love the 20 levels of precise heat settings to let you create any chic "do" easily and quickly. Iron in lovely fuchsia with fun Hello Kitty faces everywhere design.

- 1" barrel
- Auto shut off
- Blinking LED ready signal
- On/Off button
- Chrome-plated built-in safety stand
- Extra-large thumb grip
- Tangle proof swivel cord
- 12.5" x 3.25" x 1.5"

First Looks: When I first opened it, I was like YAY! PInk! I love pink! Hello Kitty, not as much, but I can deal. This kind of is like the Heatherette collection by MAC or LimeCrime packaging in that it will be a hit or miss. Some people love pink and will love the design while others will be completely disgusted. I don't see a real in-between thing because it's kind of extreme. I mean, it's bright pink instead of the traditional silver and black.

I also noticed that there is this smell that it gives off. Like the factory smell, but it's the "new curling iron smell"... not that I get that with any other appliance that I've used... The weight is light and I like how there is a black rubber grippy on the clampy part. It shows up as pink on the website. I will be linking you to sanrio where you can buy it at the very end.

The clamp is pretty strong. Usually I like to put the hair in the iron, clamp, pull to the end of the hair to straighten and smooth and then curl. Don't try this because the clamp is really strong. It'll be tough to drag your hair through the iron. This is good because hair won't slip out while you're curling it and you get a good grip and it enables a tighter curl.

Heating Times and Other Functions: I hate how there is no real "temperature" setting as in you can't tell what temperature it's at. There is this little wheel that you slide to set a "temperature". You tell the heat setting by looking at the little window. It goes from 1-15 (I think). I put it at 10. It heats up really quickly actually. It's like 1 minute... wow. uhm okay. cool. The tip gets hot so don't touch it. You can tell that it has heated up when the LED light quits blinking.

Performance: It's not bad actually. Once it heats up, you get really nice curls. As long as you don't touch the wheel, you get a stable temperature. However it's really easy to move the wheel to change the temperature so you have to be careful. I hate that. I wish that the temperature setting was controlled by a clicky button instead. My curls are quite nice and I am pleased.

Price: It retails at 39.99 and you can buy it here. Honestly, I'm really glad that I got it for free because I wouldn't pay 40 dollars for it. I feel like if I have 40 dollars, I'm going to Ulta and getting a Hot Tools curling iron instead. I mean when I have a coupon/sale. The performance is good but I still feel like if you're going to pay some medium-serious cash, get something that's tried and true. If this were 25-30 dollars, okay. I feel like it's more expensive than it should be because it's got Hello Kitty on it.

Recommended: Yes for the Hello Kitty/Pink fanatic in your life. Or snag it if it goes on sale.

Review: Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliners

Hey ladies! I have a new review for everyone on the Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliners. I actually don't have swatches for you right now, because my camera is basically out of commission (again). However, I will have swatches for you when I review the Yes to Cucumbers makeup wipes hehe. Also, I have a coupon code for Freya Skincare. Its until the end of the month of December- freyaxmas. You get 30% off your order! Here is the link: freyaskincare.com

What They Claim: Smoky black shades with an iridescent twist.
Smudge proof, Waterproof, Transfer proof.
Smooth texture for tug proof application. Paraben free.

What I Say:

Longetivity:  This thing stays on your hand like a mother! It's very difficult to rub this thing off your hand. However, I don't feel like it stays that long on your eyes. It claims to be 10 hours worth of wear, but I find that it stays for 5-6 hours max (with primer). It's like 2 hours on the waterline, so don't bother.

Texture: It's super super creamy and very pigmented. It's quite surprising actually. I imagine that it would be difficult to sharpen period. It would be beneficial to freeze the eyeliner then sharpen it. Since it's so creamy, you probably would be able to get a fine point, and it's easy to run out quickly.

Selection of Colors/Price: It's 5.50 at rite aid and sometimes cheaper with sales. Also, the colors are quite nice for a drugstore brand.

Recommended: Yes, for the price, it's good. It's also good for asian eyes on the upper lids because it doesn't transfer too much.

Upper Braces- Check

It has probably been the longest week ever, and it's only going to get longer. I have 3 finals next week! AH I'm so seriously nervous. They're physics, bio and math. Ugh. Well its okay. I have to keep studying.

Today, I got my clear upper braces on. Yeup, finally. Right now, it's just a pain in the ass because it's like "WHAT THE FUCK IS IN MY MOUTH?! oh yeah. my braces. Crisis averted." Also, it takes me like 3 times as long to use the bathroom because brushing my teeth is like a whole adventure. And I got this thing that looks like a christmas tree on a stick that i use to clean the arch wire. Picture of my braces below: Sorry for the weird angle. I'll take a better one next time.

I will be updating on the braces thing basically every time something critical happens, like bottom braces/bite plate. Then maybe once every 2 months just as an update on how my teeth are moving. haha. yeah...

Review: Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub

You know, I've been completely stressing out lately. My skin has been suffering a constant breakout on my forehead for 3 months. 3. Fucking. Months. I'm not joking. The same breakout. Its not like it ever cleared for 2 seconds. Lovely. My skin has also changed from really dry to more oily in my T-zone. I used to never have to blot my skin, but now I have to blot by the time 11 am rolls around. So, I bought a new cleanser- this one. Lets review!

What they claim:
A single use of this powerful but gentle exfoliator gives you visible results you can feel as well as see.
  • Goodbye, flakiness and dead skin cells; get ready to welcome a softer, smoother complexion.
  • This effective cleanser is a great pre-treatment before applying your Pore Strip (smooth skin is easier for a pore strip to cling to).
  • Gentle enough for everyday use, or use several times a week in combination with your favorite BiorĂ©® cleanser.
Ingredients:
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
SALICYLIC ACID 2.0%
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
WATER, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, GLYCERIN, SYNTHETIC WAX, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, ETHOXYDIGLYCOL, CETYL ALCOHOL, PEG-12 DIMETHICONE, SODIUM LAUROYL LACTYLATE, MENTHOL, BENZOPHENONE-4, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, XANTHAN GUM, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, DIAZOLIDINYL UREA, IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, FRAGRANCE, BLUE 1 LAKE, YELLOW 5 LAKE, YELLOW 5, BLUE 1

Smell/Texture: The product claims to be an "exfoliating" but I almost don't feel it. Is that a good thing? I feel like I'm so used to the harsh scrubby stuff like St. Ives Apricot scrub. I don't really see my skin being smoother because its so acne ridden. So... I don't know. It also has these green beads which I guess are the "exfoliating" part. I don't know if I like them or not. They don't melt or do much. I do like the pastel green part though. I personally like the smell. It's not too bad. However, my boyfriend hates the smell and always comments "Ew you used the face cream again..." It does smell a little chemical-like.

Fighting Power:  I have really stubborn acne. Meaning it takes over a week to clear one pimple. However, it has made more progress in my skin in 2 weeks than the st. ives moisturizing olive oil cleaner has made in 2 months. It is going away, slowly, but surely. The first day I used it, some of my pimples became white on the tip, meaning it's going to burst soon. It's a gross image. Sorry. Sigh. It doesn't clear out blackheads however. That is something to consider. It is supposed to be used in conjunction with the pore strip because the strip works better if you wash your face before hand.

Price: Its a normal price at around 7-8 dollars.

Recommended: Yes. It's not too drying but it is a bit slow on combating the acne. Good for people who just have acne sometimes. not like chronic stuffs.

Ugh, i hate spacers or separators

Hey ladies, I know that I actually haven't posted in what, 12 days? Well its okay.
...
...
...
...

I got spacers. You know, as in rubber bands that you stick on your mouth in between teeth to create spaces for braces or something?

Yes, I know I'm getting braces. It's quite late considering that I'm a freshman in college, but I'll be done in 2 years and I have quite a group of supportive friends and a lovely boyfriend who buys me pudding. Banana cream ones just in case you were wondering.

Right now, I hate my life. They are so fucking uncomfortable and yes I know that this is ranty but I need to get it off my chest. It's like having meat stuck between your teeth and not being able to pull it out.

On the bright side, this coming wednesday is thanksgiving and I will be going home. I will also post on tuesday on a biore face wash =]

Bottom braces on Dec 4th, and the top ones on Dec 11th. Wish me luck.

Quick Shoe Update

Hey ladies!

How has everyone been? I've been SO busy lately actually. Like the past week, I was wrapped up with doing the theater production (I'm on the makeup crew LOL) and well I also had a math test. However, I did find some time to buy some shoes! I meant to do this post sooner, but I didn't find the time to do so.

I really do apologize for not posting as often as I'd like to, but I don't have the time really to go shopping (nor do I have the funds) and well I don't have the time to post an EOTD all the time! However, I will try to post some DIYs and stuff during my winter break. I plan to crochet myself a hat!

Until next time!

Review: Clarsskin Underarm Cleanser

Hey ladies! I know that i haven't posted in FORRRREVERRRR but you know, I have a life. I have school. I have my clubs. But yeah. So, recently, I was sent a product to review. The product under scrutiny today is Clarsskin Underarm Cleanser!

....
....
....

That was my reaction when I first read the email sent to me by the company. A soap specially for my armpits? I wasn't aware of the fact that they were so dirty and unclean from just using regular body soap. I wasn't sure if this was some spam thing or not, so I clicked on thier link and I googled it and it turns out that other people have been sent the product for review. So, lets review.

What They Say: Clarsskin Underarm Cleanser is a specialized underarm cleanser designed to gently and efficiently remove all traces of antiperspirant deoderant residue. The first product to define the true meaning of clean.

What I say: Lets get down to the nitty gritty shits. First off, my initial impression is WHAT THE FUCK. I mean I honestly wasn't aware that my armpits were coated with some residue of deoderant. I mean, they are clean after I get out of the shower. Do people actually have residue from deoderant? Like does it clog up your razor? Because it doesn't for me... Maybe the conditioner I use does but I just wash it out. If it makes any difference, I use a gel, roll on deoderant from Ban. It could be different if you use a stick one right?
  1. Smell- It smells like...*sniff sniff*... lemoney. Almost like Lucky Charms. No, your armpits don't smell like lucky charms when you get out of the shower. There is an unscented version if you want that.
  2. Bottle Design- I like the design actually. I like how it can sit on its cap. When you open it, you see that it has this rubbery thingie with an x shaped slit that sits over the hole. It prevents everything from just spilling everywhere. Yay!
  3. Price- It is 14.95 for 4 oz and you can buy it on thier website (just click the title and you will be linked there but just in case that doesn't work, its http://www.clarsskin.com/)
  4. Usage- It says that you can also use it as a shaving cream. It works because its like using soap for a shaving cream. Usually I use conditioner, but this works just as well. As for the cleanness of my armpits... I feel like I just used a basic soap you know? I don't feel "fresher" or "cleaner" in any way. Perhaps it could be that I don't use a stick or that I don't use enough deoderant? I would imagine this to be better for people who apply deoderant like 10 times a day or who like slather it on like butter.
Overall Feel- This is really awkward for me because I can see the potential for it, but for me, its like a glorified soap. And the price tag of 15 dollars is quite hefty. Would I buy it again? Maybe if it were like 5 dollars, I would buy it as a gift for a friend.. But right now at the price, no.

Recommended for: People who slather on deoderant like its nobody's business, people who apply deoderant like 10 times a day, people who get deoderant stains on clothing, people who like to be super clean.

Review: Garnier Nutri-Pure Oil-Free Detoxifying wet cleansing towelettes with a bonus unintentional swatchfest *PIC HEAVY*

Today's post is brought to you by the letter S for shitty wipes and the number 6 because thats how much i wasted when i paid for them. I will be reviewing the Garnier oil-free nutri-pure wipes. This post is also a pretty good swatchfest post hehe. The picture was taken from drugstore.com

So lets get into the good shit yeah?

According to Garnier (as taken from drugstore.com)-
Instantly removes make-up, even mascara, leaving skin deeply clean & pure.
Vitamin B5

Green Leaf Extract

Vitamin E
Convenient towelettes instantly remove make-up, even mascara. With purifying "dermatological-nutrients,"* gently detoxify, leaving skin deeply clean and pure.

Is it right for me?

Nutri-Pure is right for you if you want a quick, gentle, thorough cleansing that detoxifies skin.
How is it different?

Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure is our 1st detoxifying towelette, with a unique combination of "dermatological-nutrients"

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Cetearyl Alcohol, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Isopropyl Palmitate, Myristyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Methylparaben, Perfume (Fragrance), Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Linalool, FIL

What I say:

Lets start with the basics:
  1. Smell- The smell is amazing. I love the smell of Garnier stuff. Nothing bad here.
  2. Feel- An important part of the wipe is the feel. The texture. You don't want something that feels like cheap toilet paper nor do you want to feel like you're using a shamwow, unless you're into that kind of stuff. Also you might not want a cloth that's dripping with makeup remover. This towelette, has a nice texture. I like how it resembles a paper towel, the good stuff, like Bounty. However, I do think that it feels dry, and not as wet as Biore (MY FAVORITE JUST SAYING OKAYY)
  3. Effectiveness- Lets let the pictures speak for themselves. I put the makeup wipe on the hand for 10 seconds, then wiped. The makeup was allowed to sit for 5 minutes.

From L to R: Revlon- Fuschia Fusion, N.Y.C- Blue Rose, Revlon Colorstay- Natural Cashmere, E.L.F- Party Pink, N.Y.C- Petal

Interesting. It took a few more seconds of scrubbing. My arm still hurts.

From L to R: Kate Gel Liner in Gold, L'Oreal HIP- Midnight Blue, Physicians Formula Strips- Black, Maybelline- Brown, Smashbox- Fan Club, Almay- Mascara, Sephora- Flashy Copper, L'Oreal HIP- Meticulous, Annabelle- Sea Green.

No amount of scrubbing could get the PF cream liner off my arm. DAMN. This is completely pitiful. I scrubbed for another 30 seconds.

No.

Oh hay look at that. I have a suprise EOTD! So... yeah. This is how it reacts to eyeshadow. It's not that bad in that sense at least.

Am I happy? OH HELL TO THE NO. It is gentle alright. So gentle that it only removes eyeshadow, face powder. I have so many problems with this product. First off, why do they say in the description that it even removes mascara? I know that so many companies say this but really now? It's not like it would be considered a miracle if it did remove mascara. Like... it's not novel. It's not like "AND IT EVEN REMOVES NAIL POLISH!". Actually if a makeup wipe did remove nail polish, no way it's touching my eyeball.

Also, it's possible that i've been spoiled by Biore wipes and that I wear so much makeup that I need industial strength cleaner to remove my makeup, but really now? It can't take off gel liner? Uncool. There are still makeup residues on my arm from the eyeliners. It didn't even take off the Maybelline gel liner and that's pretty soft.

Finally, how is it that they are recommended by Allure? Well in the best of the beauty list in Allure, there is always Maybelline Great Lash.... Soo.... No offense to the great lash supporters. I just don't think that it helps my asian eyelashes.

Cost: Approximately 6-8 dollars.
Recommended- Only if you wear light makeup. If not, then no.

Tar-jay Haul

Hey ladies! Normally, I would be doing a review right now, but actually I don't feel like it. I feel like sharing the haul I got from Target yesterday! I had to buy some stuff like RAINBOOTS. Literally, it rains so much here. =0= I checked the weather report for this coming week, and well, it's going to rain tonight, monday, tuesday and the temperature isn't going above 65. And then next monday and next tuesday its supposed to rain again.

I think that in the middle of the week, I'll be updating again while watching CRIMINAL MINDS AND TOP MODEL! I will be doing a review of Garnier Makeup Wipes (finally I'm getting around to it).

So onto the haul! I bought 1 liter of listerine, body soap, Almay Interplay mascara in emerald flash (i have a review on that already), Revlon lipstick in Fuschia Fusion, and rainboots with a houndtooth print.

Personally, I was afraid of buying the lipstick becuase I thought that I already had something in that color. I have N.Y.C's lipstick in Blue Rose. However, I think that blue rose is actually purplier on my lips than Fuschia Fusion. I have a swatch of both. It's pretty obvious that they don't look the same at all. Fuschia Fusion swatches more red while Blue Rose swatches more pink (on my camera). I'll do better swatches once it's actually SUNNY outside. Plus, I was going to do a review of the lipstick this coming weekend. On top is Fuschia Fusion and on bottom is Blue Rose.

Yay! That's all for now!

Happy Birthday Haul!

Yay! Last wednesday on the 22nd, I turned 18! It was truly an exciting moment to be legal! Not really actually because 18 in the USA just means that you can be charged as an adult? Maybe. But I still treated myself to a few Coastal Scents Brushes and False eyelashes. I ordered the false lashes from Madamemadeline.com

I love this store. I bought Elise eyelashes there and they were so cheap. The most expensive one I bought from there was only 3.50 which was ridiculous. If you use the code, FALSIES, you get 8 percent off! Why 8 percent anyway? I hate it when companies don't use percents in intervals of 5. Its so freaking annoying. But anyway, here is the haul.

Review: St. Ives Fresh Skin Moisturizing Olive Oil Cleanser

Yes I know, I put the ENTIRE name of the product in the title header thingie, but it's just so that people don't get confused you know? Just a quick update on my life (AS IF YOU EVEN CARE) I have been very busy with college. The workload can be a bitch and I am very involved with other stuff, so that's why I basically update like once a week hehe. But at least I am updating!~

Today we have a review of the St. Ives Olive Oil Cleanser! I didn't take my own pictures becuase it's not really necessary. Plus I'm a lazy person. I'll do my best to describe in detail.

Type of Skin I have: Combination. My skin dries out easily, but my nose can be oil city and does need to be blotted in the summertime.

What they say:
Deep cleans and leaves skin feeling moisturized. This cleanser deep cleans to gently remove dirt and make-up and helps maintain skin's moisture balance.

Vegan/Animal Testing: This is a new thing that I'm going to start to include. If i can find it, I will let you know if it is because I know that it is important to some of my readers. It is animal product free and it is not tested on animals. It says so on the label.

Ingredients: They have a popup picture on the website and here is the link

Smell/Texture: Have you guys ever played with olive oil before? Like just dripped some in your hands? No? Yes? *silence* I was a strange child. Not going to deny it. But i have and this cleanser looks like it, feels like it (without the greasy residue) but doesn't smell like it. I actually am not a fan of the smell. I would like it to smell more like Biore stuff. It has a more light artificial olive smell. I don't like it but it's pretty easy to ignore. You can't smell it unless you foam it up and like shove it up your nostril. But I'm hoping that people here don't have a habit of shoving facial products in various orifices (spell check?) of thier faces.

Foaming Capability: It foams about the same amount as a conditioner. Hair conditioner doesn't really foam a whole lot. It bubbles a bit then thats it. This is the same thing. It's not like AHHHHH FOOOAMMM IS ALL OVER MY FACE I CAN"T SEE ANYTHING. It's more of a "heh, this thing is just making small bubbles and it's turning white, but besides that I can't tell that it's on my face really"

Aftermath of Using It: My face doesn't feel dry. Before I was using St. Ives Apricot Scrub (I still love that stuff anyway becuase it exfoliates my face) but it was always like "MY FACE IS GOING TO FALL OFF BECAUSE MY SKIN IS SO DRY". Now, if the epidermis of my face could talk, it would say "sigh, I can wait for this girly to finish putting on her clothes and putting on body lotion before putting on face lotion". I do consider this to be moisturizing.

As for dealing with acne, I don't find that it just blasts through blackheads or powers through pimples. I think that it deals with it on a slower basis, which I don't really like. However, it does seem to keep new ones from popping up which is surprising for me. Usually if I don't use something a bit harsher, I get pimples everywhere. But for this, it's pretty light compared to what I'm used to and I think that I like this. I would still prefer something to power through my gross acne though.

Mechanics of the Packaging: That was a really awkward label thingie, but whatever. I hate the pump. I think that the spout is way too short. You can't just use one hand to pump it out into the same hand becuase it'll just drip down the bottle, and that wastes product. You need to tilt it into the other hand. I don't like that at all. Also, I hate how to unlock the top, you need to turn it to the side. I'm used to it locking on the side and then unlocking by turning the spout towards you. However, I like the clear bottle becuase I can see when I'm almost done with the entire thing. You need one pump per face and there's a lot.

Price: Expensive for St. Ives but average compared to other brands face washes. On drugstore.com, it retails for 6 dollars but can go up to 8 dollars at other places like CVS.

Recommended: Yes, I do. Get it ladies, if you have drier skin.

"Necessities" Haul + More

Hello Ladies! I know that I haven't posted in a week, which is KIND of long. But it's because I've been COMPLETELY swamped with work. I mean this coming week, I have 3 tests, 1 essay, 1 revision of the same essay, 1 quiz, 2 large hw packets due. Lovely. Also, I've been blocking out time for skyping with my home friends, clubs and such and well, I forgot to block out some time for blogging! However, yesterday, me and my girls went to Giant Eagle to pick up some necessities. And there, I realized 2 things. 1. I NEED A ON CAMPUS JOB GODDAMNIT becuase 2. stuff is so expensive. I never realized how expensive buying a few things would be. Literally, I bought nothing and it racked up to twenty something dollars. But anyway. I will be doing reviews of these things next weeks. NO WORRIES. not that you guys are worrying or anything.

Haul: Garnier makeup wipes, St. Ives olive oil face wash, St. Ives oatmeal and shea butter body polish, pumice stone and bobby pins. Sorry for the weirdness of the alignment of the picture. But I'm going on a lunch date in like 30 minutes SO YEAH. Sryimabumokaythanksforunderstanding.

And also this morning, I fashioned a pair of new false lashes. Basically, in the TW, I bought a huge stack of false lashes. Like they're all the same ones. They were like 3 dollars for what, 10 or so pairs? They are extreme, but I wanted them to be extreme-er (if that is a word) and so I glued two of them on top of each other, making sure to "stagger" the spikes. Here are some pictures. Yay!

So that was bascially detailing my process in pictures. It's pretty simple. On a side note, does anyone live in the TW or any other asian countries where you can bascially pick up false eyelashes for the CHEAP at night markets? If you do, can anyone pick some up for me? Just shoot me an email and I'll paypal you some cash to cover shipping and such. Thanks

On another side note, I have started my Etsy store, LimitlesslyYours. Right now, all orders will be 20% off until 10/1! Since Etsy doesn't have a coupon code, I will be manually refunding the discount. Lovely etsy. Way to really keep up with the times

On the last side note, I am officially getting used to this new blogger thingie. It's quite nifty actually once you get used to it. Okay off to my lunch date! Byebye

Quick tip for False Eyelashes

Yay! Happy Sunday everyone! Tommorrow is Labor Day and I have something really special planned for that day! I mean, assuming I get it done tonight, it is going to be great LOL. YEAH SO ANYWAY. Basically yesterday I went out with my girls so I decided to use some fake lashes. So has anyone seen the Michelle Phan Lady Gaga tutorial? In the tutorial, she uses 2-3 pairs of fake lashes right? How she applies them is by stacking them on her eye. An easier way to do this would be to actually glue the lash bands together beforehand so when you put them on your eye, you would only be putting on (theoretically) 1 band of lashes. You just need to use some Duo lash glue.

Also, this tip works for if you want to layer eyelashes for a different effect. I had a pair of spiky ones and a pair of really full, lush glittery ones. Basically this is the look I eventually got with the lashes:

Friday's Review: Kate Gel Liner

Happy Friday everyone! I just officially dyed my hair black and I'm really happy to be back to my natural color! Yay! So today, I'm FINALLY posting a review that I kept putting off LOL. It is of Kate Gel Eye Liner in GD-1. This is the gold color. SINCE my blogger is going crazy and being spastic, I've linked you to a swatch that I did when I was in TW. Click here to see swatches and stuffles!

My thoughts:

  1. The color- The color, is amazing. I love how its like gold leaf. It is so metallic and it glints amazingly in the sun. The color payoff is decent.
  2. Texture- Meh, its okay. I don't like how it feels a little like gold leaf. For example, when you dip your brush into a gel liner, it feels kinda soft, like frosting right? This reminds me more of gold leaf that has been mixed with mixing medium and pressed. when you pick it up, it's kind of hard to pick up because it's so flaky. Also, when you put it on your lash line, it has a tendency to just sit there and you have to use your brush to spread it out. If you dont take your time to really spread it out, you'll end up using way too much product and it'll be not even.
  3. Application- Even though I did slightly cover it above, I'll say it again. It doesn't really provide even coverage unless you really give it alot of effort. I hate putting it on my upper lash line because of this problem. I used it as an inner corner highlight and it took me forever to even out. UGH
  4. Price- Expensive. I bought it at Watsons, which is the makeup drugstore in Taiwan. It retailed for 390, or about 13 dollars USD. If you save up just 1.50 more, you can get a MAC fluidline. Or you could get the Physicians Formula Trio, which I love so much more.
  5. Brush- It's good. I like how it's pointy and it gives an extremely thin and precise line.
  6. Weartime- It's a really good wear time. I think that it stays on really well with or without TFSI underneath. It also holds up to humidity. I didn't try it on the waterline, because it's so flaky. I feel like it would flake into your eye.
  7. Removal- It's a real bitch. Literally. It's all the flaky glittery bits that don't go away. Lovely. I have glitter particles on my skin.
Overall- It's a skip. It's not something worth spending money on. It's a shame because I LOVE the color! I will use it up, but it's not something I'd rebuy.

EOTD: Stripped Purple Dragons

Ugh its so hard to think of names for EOTDS. I mean, you cant just be like "oh this is a green and blue look!" because eventually you'll do another unique green and blue look and you can't name both posts "GREEN/BLUE LOOK". Blogger won't let you and well, its boring to just name it that LOL. Yeah. okay. Keep going. Here is my EOTD!

Products used:
  • TFSI/NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt as a base
  • Strip by Urban Decay- A silver color- inner corner and inner 1/3 of the lid.
  • Mix of PInk Elephant by Back to the Earth and Wild Child by Meow Cosmetics- middle 1/3 of the lid
  • Northern Lights by Back to the Earth in the outer 1/3 of the lid.

EOTD: Parroty eyes hehe

YEAH so i know that I haven't been posting nor commenting much, but it's becuase college is tough. I've been slamming through tons of work all the time. No worries though. I have something really big planned for the beginning of September and I've been working on it for a while now, so be prepared! Yay!
Oh and just a quick note, I think that I will start a project 10 pan as well and document my way through it. I have just too much stuff (at least I think that it's too much LOL. it's probably nothing compared to some of you ladies). The only exception will be MAC's face and body foundation because I actually need to get a foundation to even out my skin!

Onwards to the EOTD!

Oh and by the way, I still hate the new posting thing. I miss the ability to drag the pictures around so that they could sit next to each other. Also this thing is being really bitchy and not letting me uncenter the text SO I HATE POSTING NOW. Honestly, it kinda sucks. I wish that blogspot would make something that was easy for very horrible computer users like me. Do you ladies have issues posting?

Anyway, here are the products I used:

  • TFSI (Thanks Heather! I love it!)
  • Back to the Earth in Dandilion (inner 1/3 and inner corner)
  • Mineral Basics in Gold Shimmer (on top of Dandilion)
  • Back to the Earth in Cat Eyes (middle 1/3)
  • Revlon Matte Shadow in Venetian Blue (great MAC dupe for Electric Eel, but not shimmery. In outer 1/3)
  • Physicians Formula Trio Gel Liner in Green eyes (Black, winged upper liner)
  • L'Oreal HIP in Black (bottom lash line)
  • 2 Meow Shadows that I forgot the name of in the bottom lash line. They were from the Texting collection? Like the names were stuff like "ROFL" and such.
YAY have a nice day ladies!

Review: DejaVu ImJu Fiberwig Mascara in Extra Long

So i know that I haven't been updating recently, but I actually just got to Carnegie Mellon and so I've been bascially off the computer and like hanging out with people you know? BUT today, i took some pictures of my new mascara. This is the Dejavu Imju fiberwig mascara in Extra Long. OKAY a quick question to asian readers. Is this the same Imju FIberwig found in Sephora? I'm actually not sure b/c it says Dejavu on the tube, and its 10 dollars cheaper, but it looks the same and on the back, it says "imju". SO IM NOT SURE if this is the same, but its pretty good as well. PICTURES YAY! OH and you guys, you will be able to see my EOTD hehe.

Bare Lashes

Curled Lashes

1 Coat

2 Coats
I like how it really lengthens my eyelashes after 2 coats. However, it does flake a bit. I did experience a flake going into my eyeball and it stung like CRAAZY. especially since it is a "fiber technology" kinda mascara. Like it makes "tubes" around your eyelashes. It's like the L'Oreal Double Extend kinda tube thingie... It is smudgeproof, not waterproof, and it is easy to remove. I don't find myself like scraping at my eyelashes to get it off. OH another thing I don't like? I hate the stopper. I don't think that it scrapes off all the excess. But I like my wands to be really "clean" and not goopy at all LOL. SO maybe it's just me. Clumpiness? Not really. Unless you go like 3 coats and you go crazy. Just use a comb to comb it out. OH yeah, no volume for this. If you like volume, avoid this mascara because it only gives length. I also found the price to be expensive at 15 dollars. Please note that if it is the same Imju fiberwig found at Sephora, it is 25$. Its expensive
Recommended? If you have the cash, yes, but if you want to skim a few bucks off your budget, then no. The results could be duplicated by Maybellline Define-a Lash in length or some other drugstore mascara. It's not a must have, but I will use it up.

On a side note, does anyone now realize how sucky the picture uploader thing is? Like I'm still using the old version and like.. i hate it now. I used to be able to "drag" the pictures down the post but now i cant. Help?

~Taiwan Beauty Haul~

SO I KNOW that I said that I would post a makeup haul like... earlier but YOU KNOW im really lazy becuase I'm on vacation. Plus for some reason, I can't drag pictures around well so its kind of a hassle. It could be that the computer is pretty old so its harder to use? I dont know. This is my pitifully small haul from Taiwan. I will be doing a review of the
Deja Vu fiberwig mascara. It looks like the ImJu one and it even has the ImJu brand on the back. Does anyone know if they're the same one? I don't think so b/c the tube is slightly different. Well I know that its much cheaper (15 USD compared to ImJu 24 USD in Sephora). But it could just be the customs markup in the USA? Also, I got the Kate gel liner, not Kate Kanebo.

OMFG ladies. Can I tell you something? I wore those Etude House false eyelashes (in the heart shaped box) for the first time to go out dancing, and I COMPLETELY fell in love with false eyelashes. I'm just like HOW did i ever live without them?! I have to get Duo lash glue asap. Anyone want to CP for my birthday that's coming up in september? Email me if you can, thanks, or comment below! Well, I will be back with another haul! It will be a tights haul b/c they're SO CHEAP here in Taiwan! AH!

Insane Taiwan Haul!

Hey girlies! Did you miss me? Well I'm back with this massive Taiwan haul. Honestly, don't ask about the prices or where I got it becuase everything are from small stores or boutiques, so it's not like it's a brand chain. Also, most things are below 500 NTD. Which is around....15 USD. Only 2 things were above that. One was the blue dress with the beige/white polka dotted bow charging in at 800 NTD (25 USD) and real leather boots at 3000 NTD (100 USD). Enjoy! I just got a haircut so pictures tomorrow. Also, I will be making a makeup haul post as well. Reviews when I get back to the states!
